The first thing is to make sure you have a dedicated area to work in. Don't do your work on the kitchen table, which you then have to clear or put to one side when it's time for dinner. Or try to compete with the TV, by working in the living area. If necessary, use a screen to help define your work area, or place the furniture in such a way, as to create boundaries for your office.

Secondly, try to face one of your positive directions. Aligning yourself with one of the positive directions helps you to focus more quickly, and provides clarity of thought and purpose. However, do make sure that by facing one of your positive directions, you do not compromise good form school placement. That is, do not have your back to the door, or place yourself in line with the door.
